Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. It is Content Detector's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, contentdetector.net, and other sites we own and operate.

1. Text you submit for analysis

This is the part most people are here to read, so it comes first.

  • Text you paste into the AI detector is not stored by us. It is held in memory for the duration of the scan and discarded once the result is returned. It is not written to a database, not logged, and not used to train anything.
  • It is sent to a third party to be scored. Detection is performed by an external detection API rather than by a model we run ourselves, so the text you submit is transmitted to that provider over an encrypted connection in order to be analysed. Their handling of it is governed by their own terms. If your text is confidential, privileged or covered by an NDA, take that into account before pasting it into this or any other online detector.
  • The other tools on this site — word counter, case converter, text cleaner, em dash remover, slug generator, duplicate remover, keyword density checker and Lorem Ipsum generator — run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into those is transmitted anywhere at all.

2. Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: our host records standard request data — IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, timestamp — as part of operating the site.
  • Microsoft Clarity: we use Clarity for analytics. It records page interactions such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and may reconstruct session replays. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy terms.
  • Google AdSense: advertising code from Google is present on this site. Google may set cookies and use them to personalise advertising. You can manage this at adssettings.google.com.

3. Information you give us directly

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message, so that we can reply. That is the only personal information we ask for anywhere on the site.

There are no user accounts on this site, and we take no payments — so there is no password and no payment information to hold.

4. Who your data is shared with

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Data does reach the processors described above — the detection API that scores submitted text, Microsoft Clarity for analytics, Google for advertising, and our hosting provider — each strictly to provide the service. We also disclose information where the law requires it.

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].

5. Policy Updates

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page. You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.

6. Contact Us

If you have any questions about our privacy policy or the data we hold on you, please contact us.
